Prof. Rivka Elbaum

I completed my PhD on ancient plant DNA in 2005 at the Weizmann Institute of Science. I then moved to Germany, Max Planck Institute for Colloids and Interfaces, and studied the hygroscopic movement in wheat awns. We described the structures that allow wheat seed dispersal unit to sow itself. Since 2009 I run my research lab at the Faculty of Agriculture of the Hebrew University. We apply analytical chemistry concepts to learn about the plant cell wall.
